“The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.”
― Omar Khayyam
Our current mindset is one that adheres to the constant documentation of every event, every photo, and every passing thought that a 20-something could possibly think. At AHW, we don’t discourage this continuous documentation, rather, we encourage our generation to open ourselves up to new points of view and logic in a way that’s different than you might see scrolling through most social media sites.
Read about an upcoming election without feeling overwhelmed. Then take in an article detailing a recipe for something fantastic (and that doesn’t sound like it was written by someone who has more than a fresh-out-of-college-and-working-as-a-barista salary). When you finish up there, take a peek at a review of the most recent Hobbit movie, or a simple yoga routine, or even tips on how to get that winged eyeliner just right.
Read it, think about it, use it, move on.
